Privacy Policy for Video Compressor

# Privacy Policy for InRa Video Compressor

1. Introduction

Welcome to InRa Video Compressor ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users ("you"). This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application processes your information, the permissions required, and your privacy rights under Google Play Developer Policies and global privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA).

By downloading, installing, or using InRa Video Compressor, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

---

2. Core Privacy Guarantee: 100% Local On-Device Processing

* Your Videos Stay on Your Device: All video operations—including video compression, video trimming, speed adjustments, and format conversion—are executed 100% locally on your Android device.

* Zero Cloud Uploads: We do not upload, store, transmit, or process your personal video files, thumbnails, or audio tracks on any external cloud servers. Your media files remain exclusively under your control in your device's local storage.

---

3. Information We Collect and Receive

While the app does not collect your personal video content, we utilize industry-standard Google services to deliver app functionality, display advertisements, and analyze app performance.

#A. Device Permissions

To provide video compression features, the app requests access to specific device capabilities:

* Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required to allow you to select local video files for compression, trimming, format conversion, and speed adjustments.

* Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Optional permission used to display foreground progress notifications while a video batch is processing.

* Background Processing: The app uses a foreground service (with the FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC permission) to continue video compression, trimming, conversion, or speed-adjustment jobs if you switch to another app mid-process. This shows a persistent notification with progress, using the same POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission already disclosed above. No additional data is collected by this feature — it only keeps the already-selected video processing job running on-device. * In-App Reviews: The app may use Google Play's In-App Review API to ask for a rating after successful use. This is handled entirely by Google Play's own interface and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy), not by our app directly.

#B. Automated & Anonymous Usage Data (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated, non-personally identifiable information to help us understand how the app is used and improve user experience:

* App Interactions: Screen views (e.g. Dashboard, Settings, Compression Results), feature usage (e.g. Auto Compress, Custom Resolution), and completion status (processing_started, processing_completed, processing_failed).

* Technical Diagnostics: Device model, OS version, app version, language preference, crash reports, and processing duration.

* Aggregated Metrics: Total space saved, compression efficiency percentages, and feature interaction counters.

*Firebase Analytics does not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, or video contents.*

#C. Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

Our free app is supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process information such as:

* Device Advertising ID (Google AAID): Used for ad frequency capping, fraud detection, and personalized advertising.

* Device Technical Specs: IP address, network type, screen resolution, and coarse location (country/city level).

* Ad Interaction Events: Ad impressions and ad clicks (ad_impression, ad_clicked).

*You can manage or opt out of personalized ads at any time through your Android device settings (Settings -> Google -> Ads).*

#D. Dynamic Configuration (Firebase Remote Config)

We use Firebase Remote Config to remotely update app settings—such as ad placement toggles and test mode settings—without requiring an app update. Remote Config does not store or process personal data.

---

4. How We Use Information

We use the collected anonymous information for the following purposes:

1. To Operate and Improve the App: Monitoring app performance, fixing bugs, and optimizing video encoding efficiency.

2. To Deliver Advertisements: Displaying non-intrusive banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob.

3. To Analyze Usage Trends: Understanding popular features to guide future updates.

4. To Ensure App Stability: Identifying crash reports and resolving device compatibility issues.

---

5. Third-Party Service Providers

Our app integrates official SDKs from Google. Each service operates under its own Privacy Policy:

* Google Play Services & Firebase Analytics: [https://policies.google.com/privacy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)

* Google AdMob: [https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543](https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543)

---

6. Data Retention and Security

* Media Files: Since video processing occurs entirely on-device, we retain no copy of your videos. Compressed videos are saved directly to your device's local gallery or public storage.

* Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics logs stored in Firebase Analytics are automatically retained according to Google's standard retention schedule (up to 14 months) and then permanently deleted.

* Data Security: We implement industry-standard practices to ensure secure local processing and safe communication with Google services.

---

7. Children's Privacy

Our Application is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at inraapps@gmail.com, and we will promptly delete such data.

---

8. Your Choices and Rights

* Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID via Android Settings: Settings -> Google -> Ads -> Reset / Delete Advertising ID.

* Revoke App Permissions: You can manage or revoke media storage access at any time via Android System Settings: Settings -> Apps -> InRa Video Compressor -> Permissions.

* Data Subject Rights (GDPR / CCPA): As we do not store personal account credentials or cloud videos, no personal data profiles are maintained on our servers. For queries regarding Firebase Analytics data, contact us at inraapps@gmail.com.

---

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app enhancements or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
